ARC Resources

Course information

  • All training courses will be held in-person in Conference B on the 5th floor (308 4 Ave SW, Calgary, AB).
  • Registration is open year-round and you can sign up at any time.
  • We will be annually updating our offerings, including new dates and new course topics.
  • Class capacity is 25 ARC employees.
  • If a class is full, please join the waitlist. You will be notified if there is a cancellation and a spot becomes available.
  • You must register for a course at least 5 business days before the course start date. Available start dates can be found by visiting the course links below. If you are trying to enrol after the registration deadline, please email ARC's Learning and Development team.

Program Expectations

  • Show up on time to your training course and actively participate in discussion and with questions.
  • Actively listen to the members of your ARC cohort and their perspectives and experiences and bring forward your own.
  • Bring what you learn back to your workplace and engage with your leader about how you would like to incorporate your learnings.
    • Remember! The UCalgary training course you attend will be connected back to your individual development plan and/or your 7 Questions and More discussion.
  • If you are traveling to Calgary to attend a session, it is your responsibility to book your charter flight and accommodation.

Withdrawal Policy

For the 2024/25 year, a notice of withdrawal must be submitted 5 business days before the start of your course to UCalgary Continuing Education via email at contedcorporate@ucalgary.ca.


How to sign up...

Add to cart

  1. Click the title of your desired course from the list above.
  2. Choose your section, and click the 'Add to Cart' button.
  3. In the pop-up window, click 'Checkout' to begin the registration process.

Complete the process

  1. If you do not have a pre-existing Professional and Continuing Education account, enter your ARC email address under 'I am a new user' and click 'Continue'. If you have an account, enter your login credentials under 'I have an account already'.
  2. Enter your profile information. This information is required in order to create your academic record and register you in the course.
  3. Confirm your course details, and complete the transaction process.
  4. Immediately after your transaction, you will receive a confirmation email.
  5. Within two business days, you will receive email instructions for creating an account password.

Your account

Your Professional and Continuing Education account will allow you to see your course schedule and access learning materials on Desire2Learn (D2L), and more.

After you sign up

At least three business days before the start date, your instructor will send a welcome email to all participants. This email will contain information about course access through D2L and course expectations.
