Course Description

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is transforming the way we work, collaborate, and deliver results. This foundational course equips professionals with the knowledge and practical skills needed to leverage AI responsibly and effectively to boost productivity when using day-to-day workplace tools and resources.

Participants will explore the essentials of AI, including its capabilities, limitations, governance and ethical considerations, while learning how to integrate AI tools into daily work, tools and resources to streamline tasks, enhance decision-making, and support the output of a deliverable. The course guides learners in identifying opportunities to use AI to save time, build confidence and competence in using AI productively at work.

Course Details

Upon completing this course, successful students will be able to:

  • Identify common barriers that prevent people from using AI effectively to produce quality work outputs or deliverables at work
  • Identify the internal AI tool available in their organization (e.g. Copilot), including its capabilities, limitations, governance, and guidelines around AI usage within the organization
  • Recognize the different features of available AI tools and how these can be leveraged in day-to-day work to streamline tasks, enhance decision-making, and support the delivery of a task output
  • Explore the art and science of prompting, its value-creation element as it relates to productivity and workflow optimization
  • Describe how to integrate AI with Microsoft Office 365 applications like Word, Excel, and Outlook and use this to enhance the outcome of a specific task deliverable
  • Integrate Copilot to enhance their productivity when using other Microsoft applications.
