I am a native speaker of Spanish. I was born in Granada, Spain. I worked for 10 years as an English and Spanish teacher in multiple areas such as Adult Education and Tutoring for a Spanish private academy “Academia Newton” and Elementary and JH schools for the Ministry of Education of Spain. I moved to Calgary Canada in 2008 with a double degree in Spanish and English as a Second Language, participating in “The Visiting Teachers in Canada Program”, an international cooperation program supported by the Ministry of Education/Embassy of Spain, Alberta Education, and school districts across Canada. Since 2008 I have been teaching Spanish and Music in the ISAs, International Spanish Academies, and I have been a DELE examiner for Instituto Cervantes at all levels since 2012. In 2018 I received my Master’s degree in Teaching Linguistics for Spanish as a Second Language from Universidad Europea del Atlántico and FUNIBER and nowadays I am as well a PhD student. My goal as a teacher is to work tirelessly to create a challenging, nurturing environment for my students. I have my own love of learning to inspire students with passion for education and for the course material. I enjoy studying but I love spending time with my family and friends, going to the beach, singing, dancing, exercising, and watching comedies or adventure movies.
