Step One

Have your documents ready

Have the following documents (in PDF or JPEG format) ready before you apply:

  1. Your official English language proficiency test results, or a UCalgary transcript.
  2. A copy of the certificate, diploma or degree from the highest level of studies you have achieved.
    OR
    An official transcript, with a translation if it is not in English.

Step Two

Register

Register in your chosen study period. You can begin programs in Spring (May), Fall (September) or Winter (January)...

Term 1 Term 2
IPP 225 IPP 325

You will need to register in both terms.

You can pay the full program fee, or pay a deposit of $675 CAD per term and pay the remaining balance up to 15 days before the term begins.

1. Start by choosing Term 1.

2. From the list of available sections, choose your starting term and select Add to Cart.

3. In the window that appears, select Keep Shopping.

4. Click Search Again on the left top corner of the page.

5. Enter the course number of Term 2: IPP 325.

6. Choose your second term from the list and select Add to Cart. It should be the term that immediately follows your first term.

7. Confirm if you have both terms in your cart and select Checkout*.

8. During the checkout process, you will be asked to complete your International Student Profile and International Student Application.

9. Complete the checkout process by paying the application fee and tuition for both terms.

Step Three

Letter of Acceptance

Once your minimum payment has been received and your application has been reviewed and approved, you will be sent a letter of acceptance for your program of studies. Your letter of acceptance is required to apply for a study permit.


Step Four

Apply for a Study Permit

Students can apply online for a study permit with Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada.

We recommend that you apply for a study permit as soon as possible. Students who have submitted a study permit application to IRCC at least 3 months prior to their program start date are eligible for a full tuition refund/transfer if their study permit application is denied.

You will require a valid passport, proof of financial support, photograph, and your letter of acceptance to apply for a study permit.


Step Five

Pay your remaining balance

If you paid a deposit for the program fee, you can pay by instalments but you will need to pay the full remaining balance at least two weeks before your first term begins.
