In order to maintain program relevancy and to respond to student feedback, industry demand and changes in the fields of study or in legislation, it is sometimes necessary to implement revisions to our programs. Our current 300-hour Human Resource Management Certificate is being phased out, and will be replaced by the programs in our Human Resource Professional Development Hub.

The current Human Resource Management Certificate will be discontinued as of December 31, 2027.

In these circumstances, we make every effort to provide our students with an opportunity to complete their current program or provide a smooth transfer into the new program.

What are my options?

Transfer to another Human Resource program

Depending on the number of courses you have completed in the Human Resource Management Certificate, you may wish to transfer to a new program.

Students are encouraged to explore our updated programs, including Human Resource Fundamentals, Human Resource Advanced, Labour Relations Foundations, and HR Analytics and Technology certificates, as well as the Human Resource Generalist Diploma. If you wish to transfer to one of these programs, the admission fee will be waived. Please contact Student Services to speak with an advisor to discuss your options.

Complete the current program

If you have been admitted to the Human Resource Management Certificate, courses will be offered until 2027 to allow you to complete the certificate. All core courses and several optional courses will be scheduled. We encourage you to plan ahead as some optional courses are only offered once per year. You don't need to advise us if you wish to continue in the current program and finish the requirements by the deadline. You have until December 31, 2027 to complete the program.

If you are not registered in the Human Resource Management Certificate, you have until December 10, 2025 to apply for admission and pay the $105 admission fee. You will then have until December 31, 2027 to complete the program.
