Course Description
This course introduces students to the Business Process Management (BPM) concepts, methodologies and techniques used to improve an organization's operational performance and to reduce its costs and risks.
Course Details
A business process is a set of activities that, once completed, will accomplish an organizational goal resulting in the delivery of a service or product for a customer or group. Business Process Management (BPM) defines the approach, lifecycle, techniques and frameworks used to improve an organization's operational performance (effectiveness, efficiency, adaptability, and quality) and to reduce its costs and risks.
Students will learn how to design, model, monitor and optimize processes within the lifecycle of a BPM initiative. The course will also teach the students how to model processes using the Business Process Model and Notation (BPMN) diagram format.
