Course Description

This course explores the steps for developing, completing and implementing an Indigenous Strategy for your organization or department. Students will use techniques and tools necessary for development, implementation, and review through building parallel pathways and relatives.

Learning Outcomes

By completion of this course, successful students will be able to:

  • Create an Indigenous Strategy to guide workplaces on parallel paths of transformation, renewal, and commitment to truth and reconciliation based on the Indigenous perspectives, worldviews, and histories relevant to the region
  • Guide Indigenous Strategic Planning within the workplace following a planning process involving tasks and steps
  • Compare and contrast traditional strategy creation with Indigenous strategy development
  • Recognize ii’ taa’pohtop as a transferable framework to compare and contrast Indigenous and non-Indigenous strategy development
  • Consider ii' taa'poh'to'p as a case study that identifies the components that support the development and implementation of the strategy
