As career development professionals, clients look to us for guidance and sound strategies for a successful job search in an ever-changing labour market. In this course, explore effective job search techniques, including building powerful resumes and cover letters to support clients in achieving their goals. Topic areas include recognizing client skills, creating a value proposition, and preparing a resume and cover letter.

By completion of this course, successful students will be able to:
- Guide clients to explore and identify skills, interests and preferences
- Inform clients of relevant job search techniques and how to effectively use them
- Coach clients on how to create targeted resumes and cover letters
- Support clients in identifying and overcoming barriers to employment
- Review clients' work search documents and make suggestions for improvement
- Provide constructive feedback on client-created documents
