Course Description

Leadership in project management is essential to ensuring success as project teams move through different stages of development. Project managers with strong knowledge of team stages and development increase their team’s opportunities for growth.

Learn different leadership styles, competencies, and tools to help you develop the ability to lead complex projects and organizational change.

Acquire important leadership skills in managing projects, interpersonal communication, influencing skills, team building, and motivating and inspiring teams.

By completion of this course, successful students will be able to:

  • Describe leadership competencies that build teams, motivate individuals, and promote effective decision making
  • Investigate the relationship between leadership and project management
  • Analyze the stages of team development as forming, storming, norming, and performing
  • Create a plan to develop your leadership qualities
