Course Description

Level 3 introduces more complexity in verb tenses and works at expanding practical oral skills through maximum immersion in the Italian language.

Course Details

By successful completion of this course, successful students will develop skills in:

Listening: Understand and respond effectively to simple conversations and familiar texts related to specific themes.

Speaking: Ask/answer questions and express simple ideas using material in an integrated cultural context.

Reading: Able to get the gist and respond effectively to simple readings, emails, blogs and schedules.

Writing: Write short messages and emails, to provide information about self and others and everyday life and role-related activities. Participate in the “Discussion Board”.

Culture: Identify basic features of Italy such as geography, the arts, and cultural traditions of the various regions. Compare and contrast Italian and Canadian day-to-day living practices.
