Human resource (HR) dashboards and reports form an integral part of managing a highly effective human resource unit. HR professionals provide an essential service when they can design a dashboard that collects meaningful data and succinctly summarizes it into a report of key performance indicators (KPIs).

Explore best practices for creating human resource dashboards and reports to influence the evolution of talent strategies and add value to business objectives. Learn how to effectively read and communicate vital HR information to business partners and stakeholders.

Course Details

By the completion of this course, successful students will be able to:

  • Identify important metrics included in human resources reports that provide an organizational overview (eg. recruitment metrics, and performance metrics)
  • Explain how to use data visualization tools to communicate vital HR information which employs compelling storytelling techniques, effectively optimizes workplace management, and enhances employee performance
  • Describe the use of automation, streamlining information, and ensuring data integrity to avoid HR reporting pitfalls
  • Use data visualization tools (e.g. Excel or other data visualization tools like Power BI or Tableau) to design basic reports with technical specialists to create HR dashboards
