The UCID is an 8-digit University of Calgary identification number associated with your Continuing Education records. A UCID will be assigned the first time you complete a registration, and you will use it to log in to your account and access Desire2Learn.

If you have taken a Continuing Education course since 2003, you already have a UCID. If you cannot remember it, please do not create a new account. You can try the Forgot UCID or Forgot Password links. If you prefer, you may also contact Continuing Education Student Services during office hours for assistance. Outside of regular hours, please contact the IT Support Centre, and be sure to identify yourself as a Continuing Education student.

If you have not taken a Continuing Education course since 2003, you are considered a new user and must create a new account during the registration process.

UCalgary Students, Faculty and Staff:
The UCID you received as an undergraduate/graduate student or as staff at the university will not work to generate a Continuing Education student account. You are considered a new user and must create a new account at registration. University staff will then use your details to match your new Professional and Continuing Education account to your existing UCID. You may be contacted for verification.

IT Computing Account:
Some courses require access to IT services on campus. In this case, you will be provided with instructions to create an IT Computing Account.
