Course Description

A continuation of Level 201 building on vocabulary and grammar introduced in previous lessons. Students are encouragedto talk about people in a more abstract way and to talk about the environment removed from the classroom. Students also learn to narrate events that occurred in the past, as opposed to telling what is happening currently.

Course Details

By completion of this course, successful students will be able to:

  • Ask what a word means and give definition
  • Describe things around you
  • Ask and talk about weekend activities
  • Express opinions and feelings
  • Sign numbers from 120 to 1,000 and money numbers
  • Use more advanced vocabulary and grammar to direct and maintain attention, control the pace of conversation and respond to information
  • Have a better understanding of the Deaf Culture

Prerequisites

 ASL 201 or equivalent.
