Description

The Emerging Teachers Development Program introduces participants to a variety of topics related to developing their university teaching, with opportunities for discussion, practice, and reflection.

This badge is part of the Graduate Student and Postdoctoral Scholar Certificate in University Teaching and Learning program.

Participants who register for the badge will automatically be enrolled to the Certificate.

Learning Outcomes

  • Engage in collaborative, critically reflective conversations with colleagues to explore current issues, theories and research in postsecondary education.
  • Identify and implement research-informed teaching methods that enhance student learning.
  • Explore, identify, and implement research-informed teaching methods that enhance teaching development and student learning.

One course including the capstone project

Delivery

Modules are delivered in an online, asynchronous, self-directed format. You have one week to complete the course including the Capstone Project.

Effective Fall 2021 will be offering the Emerging Teachers Development badge in a cohort format and you will not be able to transfer course credits from previous years.

Please note: Registration will close within 1 week of the course start date. Participants will be contacted with relevant course information via email – as well as enrolled on D2L – once the course begins.
