TI 0769 - UDL and Inclusive D2L Course Design
Course Description
The Universal design for learning (UDL) framework was designed to make learning inclusive and transformative for everyone. It emphasizes flexibility in how students are engaged in their learning, how instructional material is presented, and how students demonstrate their knowledge and skills. This workshop explores how the UDL framework can be used in your D2L course design to create an inclusive course where your learners can thrive and be successful.
By the end of the session, you will be able to:
- identify the three UDL principles as they relate to D2L course design;
- consider D2L options that reflect the UDL principles and mitigate or address challenges students my face when interacting with the D2L platform;
- and recognize how incorporating the three UDL principles into your D2L course design may result in D2L being an active site of student engagement and learning.
Please note: Registration will close 2 business days before each workshop. Participants will receive relevant Zoom information via email at least 1 hour before the designated start time.
