IPP 330 - Occupational Health and Safety - Term 2
Course Description
The Continuing Education International Professional Program Occupational Health and Safety stream is made up of three four-month terms of study. Each term has a separate program course number. Students must take the IPP terms in order from 1 to 3.
- Term 1 - IPP 230
- Term 2 - IPP 330
- Term 3 - IPP 430
Letter of Acceptance
A letter of acceptance will be issued upon:
- Registration in IPP 230, IPP 330, IPP 430 (deposit payments required).
- Satisfactory completion of the CE Professional Program for International Students Application (application fee required).
International Program Policies apply to IPP withdrawals, transfers and refunds.
Course Details
In Term 2 of the Occupational Health and Safety stream students will take the following courses:
- BMC 213 Business and Leadership for HSE Professionals
- BMC 285 Fire Prevention and Safety
- BMC 201 Accident Theory and Incident Investigation
- BMC 283 Importance of Human Factors
- BMC 295 Industrial Safety Processes
- BMC 214 Communication Strategies for Leading Groups
- BMC 358 Change Management Theory and Application
Changes to the course offerings will be noted under section notes.
Prerequisites
- Must have completed the courses in IPP 230 (Term 1).
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Must have completed a post-secondary degree or diploma (minimum 2 years in length) from a college or university.
- Must meet the Continuing Education English Proficiency Requirements.
Proficiencies
- Completion of post-secondary diploma or degree is recommended.
