Instructor-led, with no scheduled live videoconferencing
Your course will be delivered using Desire2Learn (D2L), the University of Calgary learning management system. Unlike correspondence or self-paced courses, asynchronous courses are instructor-led and require regular student participation throughout. There are learning activities and assignments included in each D2L course that would fall under instruction.
Instructor-led, with one or more live videoconferencing sessions
Your course will be delivered using Desire2Learn (D2L), the University of Calgary learning management system, and hosted using Zoom or Microsoft Teams video conferencing software. One or more online live sessions are held online in real-time, at specified times and dates in Mountain Time (MT). There are learning activities and assignments included in each D2L course that would fall under instruction.
Note to Students: Classes may be recorded and only used for the purpose of reviewing the content in this online course. It is your responsibility to inform the instructor prior to a Zoom session if you do not want your voice or image to be recorded.
This course is delivered in a classroom at the specified time and dates synchronously with an online class. The instructor — with help from an assistant — will teach classroom and online students at the same time.
This is an Online Asynchronous course. There are three types of asynchronous courses:
Instructor-led, with some live conferencing sessions
Instructor-led, with no live conferencing
Email Support – work at your own pace

While participating in a Zoom class, students can interact directly with their instructor and classmates through live conversation, text chat, and screen sharing.
