No prerequisites required.

Discover the technologies and design principles used by full stack developers to create mobile and web applications. Let our interactive learning platform guide you through the process of building a modern application or website. Learn the tools as you walk through the stages of concept, design, and development. Finally, develop a functioning app or website by applying the skills you have learned.

Finish the program with a capstone project that involves launching your web or mobile application on a suitable platform.

This is a pilot course delivered in collaboration with Western Continuing Studies and RoboGarden. This pilot boot camp is being offered for the first time, and we expect to gather feedback from students at the end. A $2,000 discount is available to residents of British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan and Northwest Territories and has limited availability.

What is Full Stack Development?

Web designer and web developer roles have become more specialized and technical as organizations look for more customized solutions. A full stack developer brings the design and development roles together. The line between front and back end development is fading as more developers become full stack and as employers look to hire developers who can use the best tools for both front and back end projects.

What is a Full Stack Developer?

Full stack developers understand both the front and back end technologies needed to build applications and websites.

Front end development is focused on building and designing elements the user interacts with – the user experience. It uses languages such as JavaScript, HTML and CSS.

Back end development is focused on building the storage and processing power of an application using servers, databases and coding.

The Full Stack Development Bootcamp

The Full Stack Development Bootcamp includes virtual face-to-face instruction and practical hands-on lessons delivered using an interactive learning system powered by RoboGarden. The RoboGarden platform teaches coding literacy by guiding users through a sequence of interactive challenges built using a game-based methodology.

Learners will benefit from instructors and teaching assistants selected for their teaching ability, leading-edge skills, and experience. Students will have 24/7 access to course materials, allowing them to save their progress and resume at any time.
