BCCSA Bursary

The BC Construction Safety Alliance (BCCSA) offers bursaries to support individuals pursuing education in construction safety, occupational health and safety (OHS), or related fields. These bursaries are designed to help reduce the financial barriers associated with training and education, and to support the development of a safer construction workforce across British Columbia.

Multiple bursaries are available, typically ranging from $1,000 to $2,500, and can be applied toward tuition, course materials, and other education-related expenses.

What can the bursary be used for?

  • Tuition for certificate, diploma or degree programs
  • Course materials and textbooks
  • Other education-related expenses

Who is eligible?

  • Canadian citizens or permanent residents living in British Columbia
  • Individuals enrolled in or accepted to a construction safety, occupational health and safety, or related program at a recognized Canadian post-secondary institution
  • Students studying full-time or part-time, in-person or online (must reside in BC during studies)

Applicants may include:

  • High school graduates or post-secondary students
  • Construction workers transitioning into safety roles
  • Current safety professionals seeking to advance their education

Priority may be given to applicants with:

  • Demonstrated financial need
  • Construction industry experience
  • Connections to BC communities
  • Representation from underrepresented groups
