University of Calgary Continuing Education is constantly reviewing and refreshing curriculum in recognition of the evolving demands of today's markets.

We have recognized that the three Community Economic Development courses that are part of the Certificate in Professional Management - Economic Developers are better aligned with Economic Developers Alberta (EDA). It has been decided that these courses will be transferred to the EDA effective immediately. They are part of EDA's Community Economic Development Training Program (CEDTP) and will be available on a new platform. Visit www.edaalberta for details.

These are the impacted courses...

  • BMC 325 Economic Development: Establishing the Foundation
Last offering: Apr 23 to May 27, 2024
  • BMC 336 Business Investment Attraction
    No future offerings
  • BMC 335 Business Retention and Expansion
Last offering: Jul 16 to Aug 19, 2024

In these circumstances, we make every effort to provide our students with an opportunity to complete their current program or provide a smooth transfer into a new program.
