Learning Outcomes

By completion of this course, successful students will be able to:

  • Define the process of designing a kitchen
  • Identify the character/theme development for the kitchen
  • Examine a variety of kitchen layouts
  • Identify various types of cabinets and appliances that can be used in the kitchen
  • Explore colour schemes, materials and surface finishes in the kitchen
  • Explore types of lighting schemes used in the kitchen area
  • Work with a budget, cost estimates, design, and sub-trade professionals on a kitchen design

Unless notified, all online courses are available at 9 am MT the day before the start date. Students who register on (or after) the start date will receive access within one day of registration.
