FSW 151 - Ethics and Risk-Management Challenges in Social Work Documentation: A Primer
Course Description
Social workers in health and human services settings face complex documentation decisions that can have profound consequences. Substandard documentation can harm clients and patients, and expose social workers to the risk of ethics complaints and litigation. This AHS Grand Rounds webinar will include a succinct primer—or introduction—to documentation challenges in social work. Dr. Frederic Reamer will highlight key decisions social workers make regarding the purposes, content, wording, and storage of documentation. Case examples will be included. This webinar is a prelude to a fuller exploration of these issues on May 12, 2023.
