Course Description

Enhance your online learning practice through an interactive and interdisciplinary online learning experience. You will explore the principles of online learning, engage with course design models and learning technologies, and expand your teaching practices through the application of evidence-informed approaches to teaching in online environments. Course topics will also include social presence and teaching presence online. In this course you will have the opportunity to develop a course design and teaching philosophy statement for online learning.

Delivery

This badge will take place as an online asynchronous with several synchronous sessions. To pass the course, the following session days must be attended:

  • Friday February 13 2026, 10:00 am - 11:00 am

  • This badge is open and free-of-cost to all current academic staff with the University of Calgary
  • This badge is not accepting the registration of external participants i.e. individuals not affiliated with the University of Calgary
