TI 0920 - Program Learning Outcomes: A Guided Working Session
Course Description
This workshop is the second in a 2-part series for those who are designing program proposals for a new certificate, diploma or degree. After a brief review of what program-level learning outcomes (PLOs) are, we will focus on strategies for writing and evaluating your PLOs. This session will involve plenty of hands on work time and small group discussion, so you’ll want to gather your curriculum design team and attend together. You will have the opportunity to give and receive feedback on your draft PLOs with others who are also in the thick of program design.
By the end of the session, you should be able to:
- Critique the format and effectiveness of different examples of PLOs
- Begin drafting PLOs appropriate to your context
- Give and receive feedback on draft PLOs
