Course Description

We invite all graduate students interested in SoTL to join us for our first session of the year, From Teaching to Learning. Here, we will learn about one another, define SoTL and consider what we hope to achieve in these sessions.

We will then consider Barr and Tagg's (1995) “From teaching to learning: A new paradigm for undergraduate education.” This thought-provoking piece lays bare the instruction and learning paradigms, offering great impetus for reflecting on our own teaching and learning experiences. This will be a warm and welcoming environment for dipping toes into the SoTL world.
