Course Description

Design a learning activity and feedback tool and lead a small group of peers. You will lead a 15 minute learning activity with a small group of your peers. You are free to choose any issue relating to teaching and learning, but we recommend you look at the list of topics that have been effective in the past. Please remember that you will have an interdisciplinary group of peers, so aim to make it relevant across disciplines. Prior to teaching, you will create a lesson plan (several blank templates are available here on D2L) as well as a feedback form that you will use to get feedback from your peers. Bring 2 copies of your lesson plan and 6-7 copies of your feedback form.

Final project work for the badge is captured via this course. The capstone project— Peer Teaching Activity is completed in D2L. The capstone project, 4 required courses and 1 optional course must be completed to earn the Theories and Issues in Teaching and Learning for Graduate Students badge.
