Course Description

Designing for learning is all about encouraging students to engage with their own learning through thinking, problem solving, reflection, collaboration and more. The instructor has an essential role in student learning through instruction, facilitating and providing timely feedback. As learning can be independent or collaborative, small and quick or more elaborate a variety of strategies can be used to support the learning journey. Join us to explore a variety of learning activities and discover ways to work with your students to create meaningful learning experiences.

By the end of this workshop, participants will be able to:

  • recognize the value of designing learning activities that connect with course learning outcomes
  • explain the role of learning activities within your own teaching context
  • identify a variety of learning strategies to implement in your own context and experience

Please note: Registration will close 48 hours before each workshop. Participants will receive relevant Zoom information via email at least 1 hour before the designated start time.
