Course Description
Human resource (HR) technology is a rapidly advancing field that has the potential to raise the effectiveness and quality of human resource functions and services. Organizations are seeking HR professionals who are capable of transforming human resource processes into systems that are digital, automated, and data-driven.
This course focuses on the effective deployment of human resource technology (software and hardware) to automate human resource functions within an organization. Explore how human resource technology can be used to digitize tasks and assist human resource professionals to better manage their workloads across different areas, such as recruitment, benefits administration, and performance management.
Course Details
By the completion of this course, successful students will be able to:
- Recognize the benefits HR technology provides to an organization, which includes cost savings, employee engagement, productivity, and reduction of errors
- Explain core software categories, and subcategories, and locate vendors offering HR tech services and solutions to help address inefficient HR processes
- Describe how ease of use, security, compliance, and adherence to ethics factor into the effective implementation of HR technologies
- Demonstrate the practical application of skills and techniques necessary to integrate HR technologies and processes into an organization
- Investigate how to audit an organization's HR processes, identify gaps, and research HR technology to address these challenges
