Course Description

Improved understanding of human behaviour in organizations enhances your effectiveness, and influences the development and operation of your workplace. Topics include: your own behaviour and its impact on others, mentoring, culture, structure, the decision-making process, employee relations, productivity, and ethical issues.

Course Details

COURSE OBJECTIVES:

  • Gain insight into your own workplace behaviour
  • Enhance relationships in the workplace        
  • Motivate self and others (by understanding theories, processes, strategies and tools)
  • Improve organizational effectiveness by recognizing the strengths of diversity and its impact on performance
  • Solve problems (or see opportunities) effectively by using tools and strategies
  • Understand behaviour through exploration of: personality differences, perception, values, attitudes, and emotions
  • Work effectively in groups and teams 
  • Influence others in a positive way
  • Explore the interrelationship between human behaviour and organizational environment (organizational design, corporate culture, etc.)

This course and Business Management should be taken before other courses in the program.
