BMC 282 Environmental Management Systems and Standards

Course Description

How organizations manage their environmental affairs is guided by the International Organization for Standardization's series of international environmental management standards, which were completely revised in 2004. This course will describe how the standards help organizations improve their due diligence and environmental citizenship. It will also provide a practical guide to designing and implementing an environmental management system in any organization.

Upon successful completion of this course, you will gain practical knowledge on:

  • the principles of systematic environmental management
  • related ISO and other international standards
