ESL 901 - Homestay - Intensive
Course Description
Homestay with a Canadian family is the best way to improve your English and learn about Canadian culture. It provides students with opportunities to practice their English in an informal setting.
To arrange your accommodations, you must fill out an online homestay application form. Although we try our best to accommodate your requests, there is no guarantee that individual preferences can be fulfilled. Due to a high volume of applications, we are not able to inform you whether your individual preferences have been met; therefore, please contact your homestay family directly once you receive their information. If you have any medical conditions or allergies, please submit a doctor’s note with your application.
Homestay begins the Saturday before the course starts and ends the Saturday after the program finishes. Please contact esl@ucalgary.ca if you need to modify homestay duration due to an early or late arrival/departure.
