COR 524 - Coaching for Workplace Performance
Course Description
Today’s rapidly changing workplace requires leaders to act as effective performance coaches by providing vision, clear expectations, honest feedback, developmental opportunities, and recognition. This course focuses on practical coaching strategies that promote employee commitment, accountability, and empowerment. Participants will apply learning to real workplace situations, develop practical leadership skills, and create an action plan to enhance their effectiveness.
Course Details
Upon completing this course, successful students will be able to:
- Identify and assess leadership behaviours, including strengths and areas for development.
- Discover coaching principles to establish effective relationships and clarify performance expectations.
- Develop strategies to build employee capability, accountability, and engagement through delegation, feedback, and empowerment.
- Analyze performance challenges by identifying root causes and implementing appropriate coaching and corrective actions.
- Evaluate leadership effectiveness through performance conversations, feedback, and continuous development planning.
