Course Description
In today’s digital world with the new emerging Artificial Intelligence, instructors need a strong foundation in digital literacy to design meaningful learning experiences, support student success, and navigate rapidly evolving tools with confidence. This program introduces core digital literacy concepts designed specifically for postsecondary educators. It emphasizes ethical and inclusive digital practices, critical evaluation of digital and AI-generated information, and practical strategies for responsible technology use. Delivered in an online asynchronous format, participants can choose their own learning pathway and pace, apply concepts through reflective and hands-on activities, and connect digital literacy skills directly to their teaching and learning. Whether you're new to digital literacy or looking to sharpen your existing skills, this program will equip you with the essential foundations to teach effectively, thoughtfully, and creatively in a digital world.
