Course Description
As organizations scale and operate across borders, conflict becomes an inevitable part of working across cultures, teams, and organizational boundaries. This course equips leaders with practical tools and approaches to recognize, manage, and resolve conflict effectively while strengthening collaboration and performance in global business environments.
Differences in cultural values, communication styles, expectations, visibility, work norms, and digital collaboration practices can easily lead to misunderstandings and disengagement if left unaddressed. This course focuses on the real-world conflict scenarios leaders face when managing teams and working with international partners, particularly in hybrid and fast-changing organizational contexts.

Course Details
Upon completion of this course, successful students will be able to:
- Identify specific conflict situations, case-studies, and scenario that managers in a global business environments experience when managing direct reports (team) and work with international partners.
- Identify the sources and effects of conflict in a global business environment, including the dynamics that make “difficult situations” challenging.
- Identify strategies for analyzing their cultural environment, quickly remove barriers, and display the appropriate behaviours required for a successful assignment.
- Explore cultural dimensions and how assumptions, differing expectations, communication gaps, uneven visibility, differing work styles. and varied perceptions shape invisible values and behaviour which contribute to conflict
- Explore sources of conflict within global business teams and the negative impact that unresolved or poorly managed conflict can have on individuals, teams, and overall organizational performance.
- Examine a model with specific strategies, practical tips, tools, resources and personalized skills that can be used in business environments across the globe to manage and navigate cross-cultural conflict situations
