Harness the power of your team's diverse motivations and ensure effective performance by addressing clashes among team members and taking immediate action while maintaining a positive work environment.

Course Details

Upon completion of this course, successful students will be able to:

  • Identify symptoms of team conflict and define the source of conflict and the role each member plays in the scenario.
  • Identify communication barriers and conflict styles to gain self-awareness of your own conflict style and that of others, enabling effective management of conflicts through constructive approaches.
  • Explain conflict management methodologies that frame and guide Sustainable Conflict Resolution through intercultural competencies and communication tactics development to ensure individuals, teams, and organizations' interests are met.
  • Employ an unbiased approach while communicating to avoid stereotyping and maintain professionalism and transparency during the conflict resolution process.
  • Outline how emotional intelligence plays a role in the process of conflict resolution and develop a deeper understanding of one's own emotions, triggers, and responses in conflict situations which will enable them to manage emotions effectively.
  • Illustrate broader conflict management approaches needed to navigate and resolve conflicts from equity, diversity, inclusion, and accessibility (EDIA) conversations or situations in a manner that upholds EDIA principles and fosters an inclusive and harmonious work or social environment.
