An additional seven (7) Saturdays (Sep 19, Oct 3, Oct 17, Oct 31; Nov 14, Nov 28, and Dec 5) are designated for self‑directed learning activities. On these days, students will work independently on activities related to their Individual Learning Plan (ILP) or specific course assignments, such as researching local history or participating in approved cultural activities, in consultation with the course instructor.

Students should review course details carefully to ensure they can meet all online participation, course engagement, and (individual) activity days requirements.

Students living outside Calgary are welcome to enrol in this course. On self‑directed activity days, students complete approved learning activities in their own communities, rather than on campus, as part of their Individual Learning Plan (ILP) and course assignments.
