As clinicians, we tend to over focus on the negative physical consequences of risk taking when we have safety concerns for our clients. Instructor Biography:

Heather is a passionate healthcare leader who began rethinking risk in 2010 when she struggled with her approach to risk with her community-dwelling clients. With over 25 years of experience in geriatric care and team leadership, and a new found interest in knowledge translation, she now serves as Director of Programs and Partnerships at the Provincial Geriatrics Leadership Ontario Office—helping clinicians, teams and organizations deliver care that’s person-centered, evidenced based but most importantly grounded in what matters most to older adults.
