TI 0968 - Curriculum Review: Program Learning Outcomes
Course Description
Curriculum review provides an opportunity to revisit and renew the program learning outcomes (PLOs) that support and reflect student learning. PLOs can be an effective communication tool to describe the expectations for student learning in a program and ensure that everyone is on the same page regarding what will be accomplished. This workshop will examine a standard structure for constructing PLOs, critique a few examples, and think about facilitation strategies for writing or revising PLOs as a group. There will be ample time for knowledge sharing and Q&A.
By the end of the session, participants will have the opportunity to:
- Describe a standard format for writing PLOs
- Select or revise a few examples of PLOs that could be used in their program
- Gain a couple of facilitation strategies for conversations around PLOs
Please note: Registration will close 2 business days before each workshop. Participants will receive relevant Zoom information via email at least 1 hour before the designated start time.
