BUS 146 - Fundamentals of Supervision
Course Description
This seminar examines the positions of manager/supervisor, and views the manager's functions as vital to the overall growth and effectiveness of the organization. The manager's abilities form a central hub of activity within the organization, often dealing with these less tangible factors that strongly reflect corporate success. This seminar provides students with an overview of managing, as well as a positive way of evaluating and monitoring their own performance, productivity, and effectiveness. Lectures, discussions, role-playing, and case study activities will be used. Students will experiment with leadership approaches and receive feedback. Students will be required to complete an INSIGHTS® Discovery instrument prior to the course.
