Course Description

The focus of this course is the present subjunctive mood and the accompanying grammatical structures. Continue to build vocabulary and practice your speaking and writing skills. This class is taught mainly in Spanish.

Course Details

By completion of this course, successful students will be able to:

  • Use the subjunctive mood to express feelings and attitudes towards events, or when events are viewed as uncertain or hypothetical
  • Converse about planning a trip, air travel and airports
  • Give commands (Ud. & Uds. commands)
  • Understand and use vocabulary related to automobiles, service stations and emergencies
  • Learn how to form and use passive constructions with the “se” pronoun

  • Desire2Learn (D2L), an online learning management system. The instructor will post your course outline and other materials in D2L.
  • Zoom web conferencing software.

To fully participate in the live sessions you will need to have access to a reliable headset with microphone and a webcam.

Unless notified, all online courses are available at 9 am MT the day before the start date. Students who register on (or after) the start date will receive access within one day of registration.

Unless otherwise stated, notice of withdrawal or transfer from a course must be received at least seven calendar days prior to the start date of the course.
