Our D2L course shells are the primary digital space for instructor and student interaction. How can we design these course shells to meet the needs of both instructors and students? In this workshop, we present intentional design strategies that can be adapted for a wide range of courses and pedagogical positions.
In this session participants will:
- be introduced to D2L shell examples from across campus, then
- explore how they can use different features of D2L to enhance content navigation,
- promote student engagement and community, and
- improve student learning outcomes
