TI 0759 - How to Engage Students Using Top Hat

Course Description

Top Hat is an active learning platform, which can help instructors increase student engagement, create interactive assignments connecting in-person and remote students, and assess what students are taking away from their lectures. This workshop will focus on how to use Top Hat to improve online, in-person and blended teaching and learning.

By the end of this workshop, participants will learn how to use Top Hat to:

- make slide presentations more interactive
- run quizzes & polls to improve class engagement
- hold real-time and asynchronous discussions, connecting in-person and remote students
- create dynamic and engaging homework assignments and tests.
