TI 0727 - Best Practices for Designing a Quality Rubric
Course Description
A rubric is more than a grading tool. Developing a rubric can help support student-centered learning by communicating and clarifying assignment expectations and supporting peer and self-assessment. In this workshop, we will use sample rubrics to explore best practices and learn how they can be integrated into D2L.
At the end of this workshop, you will be able to:
- Identify essential components of performance and integrate them into D2L rubric
- Recognize how to distinguish performance levels and weigh criteria appropriately
- Illustrate a progression towards learning by choosing distinctive language descriptors
Please Note: This workshop will be delivered online through Zoom. The Zoom link will be sent to registered participants 1 to 2 hours prior to session.
