Course Description

We as a people, and as individuals, have many questions about human behaviour and life: Are we free to make our own decisions? Are we becoming more disconnected? Is there good to be found in all people? Are we a product of our environment? Is mental illness something we should all be concerned about? Can prejudice and discrimination be overcome? Psychology has made many strides in uncovering the answers to questions like these. Topics include nature vs. nurture, free will vs. determinism, unconscious vs. conscious decision, altruism, mental health and society, discrimination and prejudice.
