Course Description

Are you unsure of how to create an effective proposal? As a consultant or vendor, you must submit a proposal that is focused on delivering what the client needs. You want to be selected to solve the client's problem or provide the product. In this hands-on workshop, you will learn how to dissect a Request for Information (RFI), Request for Proposals (RFP) or Request for Quotations (RFQ) to craft a winning proposal. Learn the key aspects of a successful proposal including tips, tools and techniques for creating winning proposals and responding to an RFP.  Upon successful completion of this seminar, you will be able to understand the difference between RFP, RFI and RFQ; develop an RFP compliance checklist; create themes to support your proposal; develop stories or examples that prove your ability to meet the client's needs, and know the common sections in a proposal.

Topics:

  • Types of proposals: Sales, grants, research, solicited and unsolicited
  • Development of your proposal: Planning, pitching, proposing and follow-up
