This 3 year award was established in 2017 and is funded by the Nair family to support students who are pursuing their Continuing Education studies in the fields of Environmental Management and Occupational Health and Safety.

The fund was established to provide assistance to adult learners who have chosen to pursue educational goals, often while maintaining a full-time career and family life commitments.

Eligibility Criteria

Students enrolled in these University of Calgary certificate programs who meet the criteria are eligible to apply:

Students must also meet the following requirements:

  • Academic merit (grade of C or better) in a minimum of four 30 hour certificate courses.
  • A resume and two reference letters are required.
  • There is a short-answer question on the application which must be answered.
