TRA 160 From St. Petersburg to Moscow along the Volga-Baltic Waterways

Course Description

Our travel study trip begins in St. Petersburg and ends in Moscow – two majestic cities that played the most important roles in the history and culture of Russia. We arrive in St. Petersburg and have several days to explore one of the world’s most beautiful cities before embarking on our cruise. At the end of the cruise, we spend a few more days in Moscow visiting this capital and its surrounding area. Our spectacular 12-day cruise on a luxurious ship takes us south along the Volga-Baltic Waterway and through Europe’s two largest lakes, Onega and Ladoga, as we explore such enchanting towns of the Northern Russia as Kizhi, Goritsy, Yaroslavl, and Uglich. Special attention on this tour is given to the Russian architecture, fine arts, and religious traditions.
