HUM 191 Native Spirituality and World Religions

Course Description

Start with a general overview of various world religions, including Christianity, Islam, Judaism and Buddhism. Then, through a series of cultural comparisons and contrasts, look at those belief systems in the context of North American Native spiritual traditions, including the Ghost Dance, Sundance, Peyote Cults, Longhouse religion, the Midewiwin, the North American Native Church and other examples.
