Course Description

The human resource knowledge area contains many variables and systemic elements that can affect the outcome of a project. Enhancing this area of expertise and devoting adequate commitment to the development of human resource planning increases project success. Learn effective strategies to motivate, manage, and organize project teams as well as the skills necessary to communicate effectively with team members and project stakeholders. Develop an appreciation for effective communication and gain a better understanding of how to set and manage stakeholder expectations.

Proficiencies

Completion of BMC 299 Project Management: Level I is strongly recommended before enrolling into this course.

Due to the intensive nature of this course, it is recommended that you pre-read or familiarize yourself with course materials prior to the course.

Students are expected to attend all sessions.

Students will be required to complete assignments during the week and may be asked to prepare a final assignment after the course has ended.

The instructor may choose to use Desire2Learn (D2L), an online learning environment, to post the Course Outline and other course materials. If you have questions about using D2L, let your instructor know when you attend the first class. D2L may not be available before the start date of the course.

It is not possible to register online for this course until you have successfully completed BMC 352 Learning Online or have a Learning Online Prerequisite Waiver in your profile. You may enrol in this course, by telephone, if you are enrolled in a section of BMC 352 that will be completed before this course begins.
