LAN 112 Water-Wise Gardening in Calgary




Course Description

Everyone would like a beautiful, inviting yard and garden lush with plants and flowers, but is this really sustainable in our dry prairie climate? Join us for an enlightening class that will help you to understand the true nature of the climate in which we live and how to choose perennials, trees, and shrubs that are suited to our frequently dry landscape. Learn about xeriscaping--reducing or eliminating the need for supplemental water. Discover water-saving principles, how to choose plant material wisely, how to make money-saving decisions regarding your garden, and how to have a great time doing it! Having a beautiful, low maintenance yard is possible and achievable.
